Overview
After streaming a number of smaller public events for Trafford Council, they approached us to stream a Remembrance Sunday Service hosted outside the council offices. As Covid-19 restrictions were still in place, it was important to use an outdoor space, keep social distancing, and give the public something they could engage with when they were not able to be there in person.
Challenges
Live streaming from outside always presents challenges, as we needed to bring everything from power to internet and protection from the rain. It was important that we capture every element of the procession, with the solemnity and respect required, but camera crew needed to be distanced from the speakers and the vision mixer.
Outcomes
With careful planning, we were able to produce a multi-camera production for the service even in the outdoor environment. Our specialist internet solutions allowed us to get the required speeds necessary from mobile coverage, plus PTZs allowed for remote camera operating to capture the detail of the procession.
