Overview
In celebration of King Charles Coronation, The Eden Project held a special event with a series of panel sessions in their Mediterranean Biome. With guests including Paralympian turned presenter and activist Ade Adepitan and sustainable chef Tom Hunt, plus a panel of young people running charities making the case for youth-led change.
The live streams were simulcast across social media, including YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram.
Challenges
The Eden Project represented a challenging environment to stream – from frogs hiding in the cable ducts, to a constant wet mist on the cameras and ever-changing light! With limited space to set up, the need to work around the general public and 4 channels to simulcast to, including TiKTok and Instagram which require stand-alone feeds to maximise the mobile-first platforms, this was not a straight forward live stream.
We love a challenge though, and were able to adapt our kit and space to make sure the stream ran without a hitch.
Outcomes
All three panel sessions went out seamlessly across The Eden Project’s 4 social channels ensuring they could maximise viewership and engagement. Instagram and TikTok were specially formatted for mobile, ensuring the best viewing experience. Everyone, including the celebrities, were very happy with the broadcast and how it the streams were presented.
